Peperomia Watermelon - 4" Nursery Pot

$30.00

The Peperomia argyreia or Watermelon Peperomia is the most popular of its genus, due to it's striking resemblance to a real watermelon. Its thick, rounded leaves display the very same markings that appear on the skin of a watermelon and form the rounded outside of the plant itself. Inside the showy barrier are red stems that suggest at the watermelon's sweet fruit.

Toxicity: Non-toxic

Light Conditions: Bright, indirect light and in a warm spot with no drafts.

Humidity: Low

Watering: Watermelon Peperomia is succulent-like and should not be watered until the top 2 inches of soil are dry.

Soil: The succulent-like nature of Watermelon Peperomia determines that it needs well-draining, loamy soil. Use a diluted organic fertilizer once per month in warmer months.

Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years, when rootbound and you see roots starting to peek out of the bottom hole of the pot.
